Many of my projects begin with frustration. A platform tracks too much, a tool is unnecessarily fragmented or an industry accepts a limitation that no longer makes sense.
Frustration can identify a problem. It cannot prove a better solution is possible.
The strongest form of criticism is a working alternative. It has to handle security, cost, moderation, maintenance, abuse and every other problem that an opinion can conveniently ignore.
Building exposes weaknesses faster than arguing does. That is useful. An imperfect implementation produces evidence that a perfect theory cannot.
I would rather discover why an attempt is imperfect than spend years explaining why somebody else should try.
